Welcome to the wiki for the melting of a 1st generation iPod. This iPod was not exactly in the best shape, due to the following:

• The battery would only last about 2 - 3 minutes per a charge
• The Firewire port was useless

This being the case, we decided to have a bit of fun with it. First we started it off by letting it play music to see how long it would last while being torched, then we just went ahead and melted it. In my opinion, the pictures are fascinating. (Might make for some good avatars!)
